Pantry Broken Into! Computers Taken

On Tuesday, January 28, the Vickery Meadow Food Pantry and Clothes Closet was broken into. The thief broke the Clothes Closet entry door and once inside broke the door to the diaper room which stores 4 of our computers. He then proceeded to break into the office and take 2 more computers.

It will cost approximately $7,000 to repair and secure the doors and replace the computers. As you know, we are a 100% volunteer pantry. All donations go to purchase food for your neighbors, pay the rent, and keep the lights on. We are very fastidious as to how we spend our donors’ funds. We are very saddened that we will have to spend our limited funds to repair our building.

We are asking anyone who may recognize this thief, who wears puma tennis shoes, to please come forward and speak to one of the volunteers on staff or the police. To steal from a food pantry and clothes closet whose mission is to help feed and clothe the neighbors of the Vickery Meadow neighborhood is completely reprehensible. Please help us catch this thief!
