ما أحبه في التطوع في خزانة الطعام وخزانة الملابس هو رد الجميل لمساعدة الآخرين. أنا أستمتع بلطف المتطوعين الآخرين. الجداول الزمنية مرنة وسهلة التغيير وهي تمرين رائع!

هناك الكثير من الحاجة المستمرة في مجتمعنا. أشعر بالفخر لأنني ألعب دورًا صغيرًا في مساعدة جيراننا وجعلهم يشعرون بالتقدير. التطوع في المخزن هو أفضل جزء من أسبوعي! بالإضافة إلى رؤية الوجوه الجميلة لعملائنا ، أتطلع إلى قضاء الوقت مع "عائلتي" في المخزن ، والتي أعشقها!

إن القيام بشيء لمساعدة الناس الذين يعيشون في جواري يجلب لي الفرح. هذا هو السبب الذي جعلني أتطوع في Vickery Meadow Food Pantry.

إنه لمن دواعي سروري أن أتطوع وأن ألتقي بالعديد من الجيران الرائعين! أحب أن يحترم Vickery Meadow Food Pantry ويستوعب الأفراد والعائلات الذين لديهم قيود غذائية على أساس تراثهم الثقافي ومعتقداتهم الدينية. إذا كان يهم لك، فإنه يهمنا.

I recently moved to Vickery Meadow so the folks we serve are truly my neighbors. I love to see the children’s smiles, and the relief on their parents’ faces when they know their children will be fed for the next week with nutritious food; it means so much to all of us here. It really is the most fulfilling (and fun!) work I do all week!

There is so much need in the Dallas area, it is an honor to be of even a little bit of help. It is very rewarding to know that the neighbors of the Vickery Food Pantry will have meals if even for a few days - and the food we provide is good for them.

At VMFP, I particularly love the direct interactions with our neighbors and being physicality involved in helping them---I literally place their family’s food into their shopping cart. No matter how challenging the work is---at the end of the day I feel so grateful for the opportunity to serve.
