Lo que me gusta de ser voluntario en la despensa de alimentos y el armario de ropa es retribuir para ayudar a los demás. Disfruto de la amabilidad de los otros voluntarios. ¡Los horarios son flexibles y fáciles de cambiar y es un gran ejercicio!

Hay tanta necesidad continua en nuestra comunidad. Me siento privilegiado de desempeñar un pequeño papel para ayudar a nuestros vecinos y hacerlos sentir valorados. ¡Ser voluntario en la despensa es la mejor parte de mi semana! Además de ver los dulces rostros de nuestros clientes, espero pasar tiempo con mi "familia" de voluntarios de la despensa, ¡a quienes adoro!

Hacer algo para ayudar a las personas que viven en mi barrio me da alegría. Esa es la razón por la que soy voluntario en la despensa de alimentos de Vickery Meadow.

¡Es un placer ser voluntario y conocer a tantos vecinos maravillosos! Me encanta que Vickery Meadow Food Pantry respete y acomode a aquellas personas y familias que tienen restricciones de alimentos basadas en su herencia cultural y creencias religiosas. Si te importa a tí, nos importa a nosotros.

I recently moved to Vickery Meadow so the folks we serve are truly my neighbors. I love to see the children’s smiles, and the relief on their parents’ faces when they know their children will be fed for the next week with nutritious food; it means so much to all of us here. It really is the most fulfilling (and fun!) work I do all week!

There is so much need in the Dallas area, it is an honor to be of even a little bit of help. It is very rewarding to know that the neighbors of the Vickery Food Pantry will have meals if even for a few days - and the food we provide is good for them.

At VMFP, I particularly love the direct interactions with our neighbors and being physicality involved in helping them---I literally place their family’s food into their shopping cart. No matter how challenging the work is---at the end of the day I feel so grateful for the opportunity to serve.
